How do I know my child is safe at Hope Kids?
At Hope Church, we take the safety of our kids very seriously. Hope Kids Volunteers are vetted and participate in a yearly background check and are thoroughly trained on our policies and procedures prior to their first day of serving. We ensure that our teacher/child ratios are small with the scheduling of a helper for each classroom to ensure each child is well cared for and receives the attention that they need. A CPR certified individual is scheduled for each service and our volunteers are well versed on evacuation plans in case of an emergency. All proper precautions are taken by our Safety Team to ensure that each entrance is not accessible from the outside during service times. Quarterly meetings are held where volunteers are given updates on all emergency preparedness items so that they are prepared for most any emergency, including a fire or active shooter. The leadership of Hope Kids are available for any questions or concerns that you may have at any time concerning safety.
What age does my child need to be to attend Hope Kids?
Hope Kids Church is available to children 6months old through 4th grade. We currently have 4 classrooms and will continue to expand as the need arises. The 4 classrooms consist of 6months-3 years old(Must be potty trained before moving to PreK), Prek and Kinder(3 years old- end of Kindergarten), 1st and 2nd grade, and 3rd and 4th grade. At Hope Church we know each child's learning experience is different and it is our heart for them to learn and grow in the things of God, therefore the leadership of Hope Kids may reserve the right to discuss with parents any concerns they may have about a child moving up to a new classroom based on behavior, maturity, and readiness.
What can I expect when I arrive for the first time?
When you arrive for the first time at Hope Kids, you will be greeted by one of our volunteers at the check in station. You will be asked for some information about you and your child to be entered into our system. Each child will receive a sticker that will be placed on their top with their name, allergies, and the contact code. Parents will also be given a sticker with the contact code in case we need to get in touch with you during service and to be presented when picking your child up. Children will then be escorted to their respective classrooms. Tours of our classrooms are available upon request but we ask that only one parent go back with their child to ensure the safety and well being of our other children. After service, you may pick up your child at the check in/out station with the presentation of the sticker provided to you at check in. Our team of volunteers will provide you with a full report of your child's first day and will bring them out to you with all of their things.
